We will describe various techniques for quantifying such discrepancy, distinguishing between internal discrepancy (which may be assessed directly from the model itself) and external discrepancy (which relates to features that cannot be so assessed). We will discuss how such analysis should be integrated into the general workflow of model building and analysis.768759 DTSTAMP:20260609T235808 DTSTART:20260611T133500 DTEND:20260612T142500 LOCATION:Green LT(E)/Newman/Streatham Campus SUMMARY;LANGUAGE=en-us:David Rees Fellow Colloquium: Professor Michael Goldstein (Durham University) UID:615b865a44bf1e050a2b50e96077e37d@www.exeter.ac.uk END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
